My partner in this party is Lori Jean Poppe This is my first bead soup blog party and I was really excited to be included in this wonderful event. Since first seeing this blog party it has really changed by beading life to include so many wonderful other beaders that i have met online on bead soup cafe and other sites. I'd like to thank Lori Anderson for hosting this event even with all her medical issues! She is a trooper. So without further ado here is what i received
Lori Jean Poppe sent me a wonderful clasp and focal that she wired herself.. I was very impressed and had to think hard on what to do that would show off this wirework. After much deliberation I came upon an idea to try something new and this is the result:
springtime is the theme for these pieces that i made:
this piece is more rustic. I tried a new technique i actually braided 6 pieces of wire together on a whim and really liked what i came out with. I liked the mismatch of the sides of this piece.
Posting very late at night after visiting my new puppy... she's 4 weeks old now and will come home in another month. she is a chihuahua Still need to pick a name for her! need suggestions. leave me a name in the comments below
thank you for visiting

I am intrigued by the wire braided piece, it feels very yin/yang. Have you worn it much? I bet it's a great conversation starter. If I saw you, for example, in the grocery store with that piece on I would have to stop and ask about it. It's uniqueness makes it sparkle. Nice job on the Soup!
ReplyDeleteI think 'treasure' would be a good name for the puppy. Good luck with your beads and the new cute little doggie :-)
Beautiful pieces! So colorful!
ReplyDeleteLovely work and congrats on your new pup!
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I really like the pink earrings!! ~KM http://kraftymax.blogspot.com/2013/03/7th-bead-soup-blog-party-reveal-33113.html
ReplyDeleteGood job on your first bead soup.
ReplyDeleteWhy not name your new friend to commemorate the bead soup? Maybe Soupy or Lori, after our gracious hostess?
Great use of your first soup ingredients. Longing for spring here too:0)
ReplyDeleteLove what you did with your soup and your new puppy is sooooo cute! I hope you're having a great time with the Party Blog hop too! *Ü* http://loribergmann.blogspot.com/2013/03/bead-soup-7-revealat-last.html
ReplyDeleteReally like the work you did on the braided wire piece. It's so different and fun.
ReplyDeleteAnd the puppy is adorable! May you have many happy wonderful years with her. Dogs are truly the most wonderful of companions. The right name will come as you get to know her more!
Amazing work with your soup, and what a cute little assistant-to-be !
ReplyDeleteI like how you made the braided necklace asymmetrical. And the braiding was a very clever idea. Good work!
ReplyDeleteAnd PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE turn off CAPTCHA so we vision-challenged beaders can comment without wrestling unclear letters and number to the bead mat.
I'm on the 3rd reveal, I'm partecipating for the 3rd time on BSBP
ReplyDeleteI love the second necklace, great asimmetric design :)
too cute your dog, my name suggestion is LUNA (moon, in Italien)
ciao dall' Italia
WOW! Lori.....I totally love love love every piece. You did an awesome job for your first BSBP swap. I think the braided wire goes great with the pendant and toggle clasp. Soooo BEAUTIFUL.
ReplyDeleteYour new puppy is so adorable and my daughter Elizabeth her name should be Brownie cuz she looks so sweet.
Love the rosebud earrings! Your wire braiding is awesome!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful designs! Love how you create two different sides for your necklaces
ReplyDeleteLove what you did, the rustic necklace is beautiful! Sweet sleepy puppy!!!

ReplyDeletewire focal is great and very good used, congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI really like the Asymmetry approach
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful soup you received, I love the spring theme and also the braided wire really went well with the asymmetrical necklace, it showed the clasp off wonderfully! Loved it!
ReplyDeleteI have a lovely little girl named Roxy she is about two years old and looks just like your baby! I think Jetta would be a wonderful name for her! Happy Beading!
Nice work! I particularly like the springlike feel in the first grouping (probably because I'm really tired of the cold temperatures outside!). The braided wire was a good idea -- I'm sure you'll have fun working with that technique in the future, if you can spare any time from playing with your precious new puppy!
ReplyDeletePip. Short for pipsqueak. :)
ReplyDeleteNice pieces from your soup--and congrats on the sweet puppy!
ReplyDeleteI like your idea with the woven chain and beads. What a sweet little studio helper!
ReplyDeleteLori both of your pieces are wonderful. What a cute puppy. She looks like a Lola to me.
ReplyDeleteThese are so sweet -- love the flower pendant! You did a wonderful job.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for participating!
Great pieces, the spring themed pieces have me longing for spring :~)
ReplyDeleteAs for a name for the cutie pie, how about Briolette? With the nick name being Brio? Good luck with the new pup, regardless of the name you pick.
Your spring themed set is just as sweet as can be, lovely!
ReplyDeleteLovely jewelry - and awwwww..... sweet puppy!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I love your creative use of braided wire.
ReplyDeleteIsn't the BSBP fun? Love that you tried new ways of designing. I think your pieces turned out great - I especially like the 'mismatched' necklace. The wire braiding was a clever idea!
ReplyDeleteYour braided wire resulted in a really cool effect. At first glance, I thought it was a thick chain of some kind. What a great way to think out of the box. Nicely done! :)
