It's finally time for the bead peeps swap and hop reveal
So excited to see everyone's creations
My partner for this swap is from India and her name is Divya N. She sent me lots of unique beads and pendants that she created herself. Her blog is http://www.jewelsofsayuri.com/ She is from India and makes jewelry and components with an Indian flare and teaches. she has a background in fashion design, but changed to Jewelry design. It really challenged me to use such different and unique pendants and I thought about ideas for a long time before starting to create my pieces.. I saw the buttons and knew that they would make great earrings with Divya's lamp-work glass at the bottom. I challenged myself with the green donuts and stars to make a necklace as i usually don't work with greens as much as i should.
They clasp was challenging as it was a different color metal than worked with my pieces so i created a bracelet with it that would show it's handcrafted beauty. I decided to use a lot of wire wrapping throughout my pieces as well. Divya created the stars in the green piece and the leather wrapped beads and clasp in the bracelet. I still have many pieces left that i will use for future projects because as usual I waited too long to start and did not use all the goodies that she sent yet.
This is what I sent Divya
This is what Divya sent me.
Here is the list of all the blogs you should visit to see everyone's creations
Everything is lovely Lori but my favourite is the green necklace. I never imagined that the components would come together like that- fantastic job on the necklace and using my lampwork dangles in the earrings
ReplyDeleteVery pretty!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty colorful bracelet with the copper S clasp. It reminds me of sixlets candy!

Great designs! I just love that necklace. It's had a touch of strength and one of fantasy.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pieces! It's hard to pick a favorite each so different. I do love greens and your necklace is fantastic but the bracelet reminds me a bit of candies...see hard to decide!
ReplyDeleteThe necklace design is fabulous. And while I'm not much of a fan of bright colors, I do adore that bracelet. And the dangly earrings are perfect.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful, interesting pieces to work with! Great job on your creations with them - so colourful and fun! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pieces! the bracelet and earrings are bright and fun.....and the necklace is perfectly balanced. <3
ReplyDeleteLove what you made! I think my favorite is probably the earrings with buttons!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great use of your beads. All are so pretty. I love the bracelet. The use of the beads and color combo is bright and eye catching!
ReplyDeleteWell done love the orange & green combo
ReplyDeleteLove the way you combined the different styles and shapes of the beads and components. Really brought them all togehter.
ReplyDeleteVery nice pieces!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the green has worked for you - the necklace is totally balanced in terms of color and bead shapes and it looks light and pretty! But I really love what you did with the bracelet - you have combined all those bright colors and handmade beads in a way that each pops out and at the same time they belong with each other! I don't know if it was intentional but the wire work on the earrings is a good disguise - took me some time to "see" the buttons :)
ReplyDeleteThe orange bracelet just pops and the necklace is lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe necklace is beautiful, but I love the funkiness in that brightly coloured bracelet so much! Great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Lori, You should work with green more as this necklace is lovely. The bracelet is so bright and fun looking. It speaks summer. Good job.
