It's finally time for the bead peeps swap and hop reveal
So excited to see everyone's creations

My partner for this swap is from India and her name is Divya N.  She sent me lots of unique beads and pendants that she created herself. Her blog is http://www.jewelsofsayuri.com/  She is from India and makes jewelry and components with an Indian flare and teaches. she has a background in fashion design, but changed to Jewelry design. It really challenged me to use such different and unique pendants and I thought about ideas for a long time before starting to create my pieces..  I saw the buttons and knew that they would make great earrings with Divya's  lamp-work glass at the bottom.  I challenged myself with the green donuts and stars to make a necklace as i usually don't work with greens as much as i should.
They clasp was challenging as it was a different color metal than worked with my pieces so i created a bracelet with it that would show it's handcrafted beauty.  I decided to use a lot of wire wrapping throughout my pieces as well.  Divya created the stars in the green piece and the leather wrapped beads and clasp in the bracelet.  I still have many pieces left that i will use for future projects because as usual I waited too long to start and did not use all the goodies that she sent yet.

This is what I sent Divya

This is what Divya sent me.

  1. Everything is lovely Lori but my favourite is the green necklace. I never imagined that the components would come together like that- fantastic job on the necklace and using my lampwork dangles in the earrings

  7. Wonderful pieces! It's hard to pick a favorite each so different. I do love greens and your necklace is fantastic but the bracelet reminds me a bit of candies...see hard to decide!

  8. The necklace design is fabulous. And while I'm not much of a fan of bright colors, I do adore that bracelet. And the dangly earrings are perfect.

  16. Looks like the green has worked for you - the necklace is totally balanced in terms of color and bead shapes and it looks light and pretty! But I really love what you did with the bracelet - you have combined all those bright colors and handmade beads in a way that each pops out and at the same time they belong with each other! I don't know if it was intentional but the wire work on the earrings is a good disguise - took me some time to "see" the buttons :)
